Dorking Town

Dorking Town was the name for the current Dorking West station on the line from Redhill to Guildford. The layout depicts the the station with its goods yard as it was until 1963. The layout was resurrected two years ago and has been given a complete rewire, including extensive lighting of station buildings and fully operative signals and the scenery upgraded. Rolling stock will consist of steam and diesel making progression from nationalisation through to recent times. It is modelled in standard scale N gauge, DC controlled with a large fiddle yard to the rear of the layout which allows continuous circular running. Following its renovation, it will be entering the exhibition circuit for the first time in its new form in 2016. Track is Peco as are the point motors.
